Tryazon Ritter Sport Chocolate Party

This was one of the most fun Tryazon parties yet!

We started out by introducing Ritter Sport (all of my guests had been to a Tryazon party before, so they were familiar with the brand) and then passing out the coupons and take-home packs.

Then we had dinner (healthy squash soup and veggie pizza... to counteract all the chocolate!)

Then we made our Veteran's Day tribute to the troops... it was truly a team effort! One guest thought of the idea of making a ship, another thought of making an aircraft carrier, and then the more crafty ones in the group gave the idea of how to construct it. Someone researched the names of famous aircraft carriers (came up with the USS WASP, because it had the fewest letters) and someone else spelled it out using the chocolate squares. The results were amazing! Here's hoping we win.... if we win the chocolate prize, the Air Force member from our group said he could take the chocolate to share with the airmen on his base.

Finally, we did the blind taste test with the chocolate varieties. It was pretty easy to guess which was which (except for a few) and we all had different ideas of which ones were a YAY and which were a NAY.

Overall, a fun night!

Tryazon Super Mario Bros Power Up Card Game by USAopoly

When I saw that there was a new card game, inspired by Super Mario Bros, I knew we needed to try it out, and invite some of our Mario-loving, Game-loving friends over! They already have several Mario themed card games and board games, but this was a new one to all of us.

At first, the game seemed a little confusing, and a little slow, but as the game went on, and each player received more power cards (and fewer lives), it definitely got more interesting! It is a fast moving game, which is nice for a card game, in case you only have a limited time to play, or want to play multiple games in a night.

We will be giving a copy of this game to Gamer friends of our for their wedding, and I think it would also make a great Christmas or Birthday gift for any Mario lover in your life.

Tryazon Save The Day Seasoning Party

We got to try out some #SaveTheDaySeasonings thanks to #Tryazon!

This was a Featured Party opportunity from Tryazon. There were 249 similar parties taking place this weekend within the US. Tryazon is a service dedicated to getting innovative products into people’s hands and mouths, in fun settings like this. They offer excellent product samples and savings for all who participate.

Save the Day Seasonings started simply - with a problem, and then a solution.
Adrian Alvi, AKA “the cook of the house”, would come home after working his corporate job, tired, but still needing to plan and prepare dinner for his family.
“What’s for dinner” is not the first thing one wants to hear after a long day’s work, especially when you have no ideas.
Then a new concept came to him: seasoning blends that would work on any food you had on hand; meats, veggies, beans & rice, leftovers or whatever.
These seasonings would be “complete” seasonings where no other flavors, not even salt, would be needed. Being a lifelong student of foods and flavors, he knew that if he could get what was in his head into a jar, it just might make life
easier.
And so, Save the Day Seasonings was born!
Since then, Save the Day Seasonings has grown to include 18 unique seasoning blends including: ethnic blends, spicy blends, and their own unique creations.

In their promotional video, parents who use the seasonings talk about the Alvi's Incredible seasoning... put it in a shaker bottle and let the kids season their meat and veggies, eggs, etc, to get them to eat their food! I may try that. We will call it "magic sprinkles" LOL

Here are some of the ways we tried out the seasonings

Used the Chinese spice to make squash fries, and one of the spicy mixes to make spicy mayo. Yummy!

Used Jamaican spice to make rice and beans. The idea of these spices is that they save you money since you can add them to whatever you have on hand. This recipe really did "save the day" because it was one of those days where I really did not want to cook, and hadn't thawed any meat. And Charlie was going to be home for dinner in like 20 minutes. Success!

Made pork roast in the slow cooker-- just rubbed on some of the Strong Arm seasoning, seared it, and threw it in the slow cooker to cook all day-- it was some of the best pork I've ever eaten! And so easy!

Used Alvi's Incredible seasoning to make roast potatoes

And mexican seasoning + ground pork = taco meat! ( i forgot to get a picture of this one, but here's the box of taco shells)

We took 3 different seasonings and made dips for chips, pretzels, and raw veggies (The Real Dill, Alvi's Incredible, and Alvi's Inferno with Ghost Pepper!)
We put out all the other seasonings to add to:

Popcorn
Cooked Veggies
Plain Pasta
and
Plain cream sauce for the pasta

It was fun, quick, and easy, and everyone got to customize their food. I would highly recommend these seasoning blends!

Tryazon Kid Knex Party

Do you remember Knex from when you were a kid? Did you have a sibling or a friend who built the big ferris wheel?? Or were YOU that cool kid?

Knex has been around since the 90's, but I didn't know that they were manufactured in Pennsylvania! Yay for US jobs!

I was so excited to try out these new line of Knex, specifically for preschoolers. The little eyeballs, wings, wheels, and other pieces make it easy to make silly creatures, trucks, houses, and whatever else they can come up with! My kids LOVE building toys... I'd say at least 50% of their toys are creative toys (Lincoln Logs are another favorite, which are also made by Knex, apparently!) Thank you to Tryazon for once again giving me the opportunity to try these toys for free, and also help my friends get free and discounted toys! A couple of families couldn't make it, but using the Tryazon coupon code, I know of at least 3 people who have gotten their own Budding Builders Tub for a GREAT deal!

We were so excited to host a Tryazon Learning with Lauri Party! Growing up in Smethport, PA, I was familiar with the educational magnet games from Smethport Specialties. When Patch products of Beloit, WI bought that company  and then I moved to Wisconsin  I was still happy every time I saw one of those fun toys in a store, or Cracker Barrel gift shop, etc. During the time I worked as a preschool teacher, I became more familiar with Lauri toys, especially the foam puzzles. So, seeing all of these great products together  in this Play Monster box, was not only fun for my kids  but for me, as well! We are homeschooling our oldest, and I always need more educational toys and activities for him, and for his younger sisters, to keep them busy as he works on school (but still learning, not just "occupied"

Our kids favorite was the tall stackers, with the extra wheels and connectors. They made trucks, light sabers, and lots more. The shape sorter was a big hit with our 1.5 year old, as well.

About once a week, we have friends over for a playdate, so this party was a great excuse for me and my friends to get together, while our kids played with all the toys. We talked about how these toys would make great gifts  and some of them, like the Objects magnets and Action language cards  would be awesome in autism therapy, speech therapy, etc. All the toys were a huge hit!

Tryazon Telestrations Party

I was excited to be a host for the Tryazon Telestrations party... I had played this game before with friends but really wanted to own it! Now we can have game nights whenever we want, with a fun party game up to 12 players.

The game is simple... everyone chooses a card with various words/phrases on it (like Pictionary) and then someone rolls the die. Whatever number it lands on is your "secret word." You write it down on your pad (they are dry-erase pads with pens, which is so much better than paper!) and then draw it on the next page. There is a timer, so you have to draw quickly! Once the timer runs out (or everyone is finished drawing), everyone passes their pad to the next person. They look at the picture, then flip the page and write what they think the picture is. Then you keep passing the pads around, each time either writing, or drawing... until the end, when we all reveal what the original word was. It is so funny to see how a word like "Nachos" can become "Passover Seder", just like the old "Telephone" game!

The Telestrations Party Pack can have up to 12 players. But even though several people couldn't make it, and we only had 4 players, it was still fun! You'd be surprised how mixed up the words can get, even in a short "chain"... it is definitely a game we will be coming back to, again and again.

Pros of this game:
Anyone can play... kids and adults alike; no strategy or deep thinking involved
No small pieces... easy to play even with lots of little kids running around
Gets you laughing... perfect "get to know you" game for a group
You can keep score... but you don't have to. The fun is just being silly together

Tryazon Sterno Smores Maker Jr Party

We love S'mores! For my birthday, a friend got me the large Sterno Smores Maker set, and we use it all the time! I was excited to try the Jr one, since the only drawback to the large one is how much space it takes up in storage.

The Plush Puffs marshmallows were a fun treat, too!

The Smores Maker Jr is kind of cheap... when I first took one out of the box, one of the two handles snapped off. Oh well... we can still use it with one handle.

It gets very hot! We had to remember not to reach across it (something that was easy to do, since it is so small) It was fun, though, and one guest said that the smaller roasting fork actually worked better than the larger ones that came with the original Sterno set.

The Plush Puffs were tasty, although the Vanilla flavored ones did not have a very strong flavor... mostly just marshmallow taste. And the cube shape actually made them harder to roast-- the corners would get brown before the rest of the marshmallow. They got very goopy, but didn't melt the chocolate very much. So, we decided that regular marshmallows are better for making s'mores.

Overall, everyone had fun, and the two people who got to take home a new Sterno Smores Maker Jr were both very glad to receive them.

Tryazon Strictly Briks Tryabox

We are diehard Lego fans (no Mega Bloks, in this house, please  ) so I was skeptical to try out these #StrictlyBriks from #Tryazon. But they really are pretty cool!
The "Trap and Gap" baseplates are a fun way to get your mini-figs and vehicles from one level to another (each baseplate has 2 trap-doors that extend into a ramp)... we made a parking garage and a jail. I also like that some of the baseplates are able to be built underneath (all of our Lego baseplates were thinner than a regular flat piece, and flat on the bottom.)

The Alphabriks were fun...I think we will use them for homeschooling.

The larger (Duplo sized) trap and gap baseplate is neat... CT has had fun with it. But I feel like it is going to get stepped on or broken by a small child... It is more of an advanced concept (4 or 5 and up) but since it is Duplo, which is typically for toddlers, I don't anticipate it having a lot of demand... unless it is the type of kids who like to build with the bigger bricks even as they get older (there are some neat things you can do with Duplos)

All in all, the bricks seem VERY close to Lego in terms of quality, and so we will have fun playing with them for years to come. At first, I told the kids they had to keep them separate from the rest of their Legos (I told you... we are somewhat militant in our Lego-brand purism) but after seeing that they held together just as well, I decided they are allowed to go "into the mix" with all the rest of the little Legos.
